Starting on Saturday I will be part of York Printmakers residency at #Murton Museum of Farming. We will be there printing our own work, and also producing prints inspired by the museum, I can't wait! I will post pics as we go, it's going on till October so plenty of time to create some good stuff, culminating in an exhibition. Do come down and visit! Visit our Facebook page too here

Art and Soul have got a new exhibition coming up at Vj's art bar in York so I decided to do a new print. It's actually also a commission from a good friend, and uses lyrics from an Incubus song he loves. The exhibition will be up for the month of June starting on the 2nd :) You can also see my work up in The Habit and the groups up at the Deramore Arms at the moment. It's that time of year again, christmas card printing! This year I don't have the time off to do any craft fairs so they're just for friends and family. They're going to be a bit special too - limited edition as I'm using the reduction method meaning I am using one lino block, cutting some and printing, then cutting more and printing in a different colour, so it is impossible to repeat. My subject this year is a robin, sorry to ruin the suprise friends and family if you are reading this! These photos are of stage one, I won't post any of stage two so it's there's a little bit of suprise left.... Been a long time, it's been a busy summer - got married, had a manic school holiday period at the day job and now on my honeymoon in the US! Been inspired over here though so hoping to get some new prints going when I return :)
I've now got some work up in Arthritis UK shop in York, go have a look and browse their large selection of second hand books! In the next few weeks I'll also be dropping some postcards off for sale :) but the wedding is top priority at the mo!
This is the final day of 2 day working weeks since November, back to 5 days from tomorrow... I 've been playing with ink this week after being inspired by a short drawing course I went on before christmas. Yesterday I drew a card for the future father in-law, the theme being his vegetable plot.
For those of you that don't know I'm getting married this year and thought I'd do some etchings for the invitations. Thanks very much to Shaeron Caton-Rose for lending me her studio! Happy New Year to all (tomorrow), here's to creativity and productivity this year x
